Omniverse is a media production company and publisher specializing in dynamic storytelling.
We develop boundary-breaking methods of interactive storytelling and audio experiences for podcast, print, and beyond.
There are no genres that can’t be fused, no idea too crazy to work.
OUR PROJECTS
Omniverse was founded in 2019 by pioneers of storytelling podcasts.
We're fiercely independent and always ahead of the curve.
Our team led the charge in the development of the now-ubiquitous actual play (tabletop roleplaying) podcast format in 2009, and were the first to break that mold by enhancing improvised adventures with cinematic sound design and original score. Our award-winning actual play / audio drama series, The Call of Cthulhu Mystery Program, is the culmination of this work; fully hybridizing improvised narratives and performances with scripted cinematic audio drama for dynamic and heartfelt stories rooted in truly immersive horror and comedy.
We continue to develop radical new collaborative storytelling techniques with our Surprise RPG experiments, resulting in the fan-favorite limited audio events K8 Was Here, The Extermination, and City of Daemons as well as the forthcoming podcast series, Étude of the Storm and A Walk in the Park.
Our fusion of cinematic audio drama and pop culture talk podcast, "MOTHER," She Wrote: An EarthBound Podcast, sets a new precedent in connecting art and audience; taking listeners beyond the controller and into the story of the acclaimed MOTHER (EarthBound) video game trilogy. Lightning Dogs, our forthcoming illustrated novel series, packs an entire animated series' worth of action and worldbuilding into every page and sets a new paradigm for all-ages and young adult print media. Meanwhile, the podcast Lightning Dogs: How NOT to Make an Animated Series opens up the creative process of this many years-long journey to bring a project to life.
